You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger.
May you never take one single breath for granted.
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed.
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside
The Ocean.
Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance.
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.
I hope you dance...I hope you dance."
- I Hope You Dance , Lee Ann Womack
"You don't ask what a dance means. You enjoy it. You don't ask what the
world means. You enjoy it. You don't ask what you mean. You enjoy it. "
- Joseph Campbell

The Power and The Magic of Dance
Witness the unbridled joy , enthusiasm, love and freedom
Of Children dancing. There are no boundaries, no walls
Or imposed limitations by any authority.
These cherubs believe everyone is equal, delighting in motivating the body
To exemplify what the heart and soul is truly feeling.
Letting the music inspire and magically move
The unfettered body with euphoria and
Sometimes just gliding with simple sweet slow passionate moments
Holding onto to love until ...
When and where did these innocents get corrupted,
Tainted with controlling constructs and become
Self centered afraid of what may happen next ?
The authenticity fades as false worldly promises continue
To be the cancer eating away at the truth.
The Divine DNA forgotten or ignored ?
Winds of war, unbridled street violence spilling over
Into houses of worship and schools,
Disagreements prevail over to mask or not to mask,
vaccinate or not to vaccinate,
Theologies and ideologies in conflict as who is right and who is wrong.
No lives seem to matter .
Intimacy, compassion and mercy not noticed as being absent
As these holy qualities seem to be left to a select few.
Sadly it is not surprising that energetic creativity
Is limited to how one fills bank accounts
And protect one's border lines and attachments.
Serenity, mindfulness and selfless concern for the common welfare
Left to the mission of spirits with faith
And who to let go ...
Dancing - loving, freeing, intoxicating drug of choice,
Calming consolations and illuminations .
When you're down, when you're up or even stuck in neutral.
Somehow it all conjures a query -
"What would happen to the world if we never restrained children from dancing
And from being the true complete compassionate peace filled beings
They are all intended to be ?"

Children Learn What They Live --
If children live with criticism, they learn to condemn.
If children live with hostility, they learn to fight.
If children live with fear, they learn to be apprehensive.
If children live with pity, they learn to feel sorry for themselves.
If children live with ridicule, they learn to feel shy.
If children live with jealousy, they learn to feel envy.
If children live with shame, they learn to feel guilty.
If children live with encouragement, they learn confidence.
If children live with tolerance, they learn patience.
If children live with praise, they learn appreciation.
If children live with acceptance, they learn to love.
If children live with approval, they learn to like themselves.
If children live with recognition, they learn it is good to have a goal.
If children live with sharing, they learn generosity.
If children live with honesty, they learn truthfulness.
If children live with fairness, they learn justice.
If children live with kindness and consideration, they learn respect.
If children live with security, they learn to have faith in themselves and in those about them.
If children live with friendliness, they learn the world is a nice place in which to live.
